Another long overdue post from a honeymoon destination. When I lived in London this hotel (attached to the St. Pancrass station) was still being renovated. Well it’s done. It exudes old world charm but manages to be hip at the same time. We sprang for a regular suite but ended up getting upgraded to the totally unaffordable Queen Victoria suite. It was Totally nuts. Huge, with a dining area that sat eight and crazy high ceilings. Beautiful, centrally located with a fabulous bar and easy tube access. Who could ask for more?
Watching football is good motivation to play on the Internet. Or at least it is for me. I want the Ravens to win, but can’t watch with total concentration. Also, I wanted to post about all of the fabulous places we stayed during the honeymoon back in October but never got around to it. Ureka! I can do both.
One of my favorites was Kilindi Pavilions in Zanzibar. Each couple gets their own stone bungalow with a private pool and a personal butler. It’s beautiful and just about the most relaxing experience I’ve had. A perfect way to chill out after a week of safari. Great food and amazing service round out the experience!
