Wish I worked near Sushi Taro

After being thwarted in our quest to apply for Tanzanian visas (the embassy was closed, we think for Eid) the Bob and I decided to pop over to Sushi Taro for lunch. I wouldn’t call it cheap, but it’s a great deal (unlike my one experience with their happy hour – which is cheap but not a good deal given the subpar quality of the fish). For $18.50 you get 4 pieces of rich marinated tuna, 3 pieces of creamy chu toro, and a delicately elegant portion of tuna tartar topped by a quail egg all atop sushi rice. They have a number of other set lunches ranging from about $13 to $40. Frankly though, it’s going to be hard to try anything else.
