Gilded Lace

I don’t usually post much about fashion on this blog because otherwise it would take over, but I couldn’t resist sharing this gilded lace collection by Monika Knutsson.  I happened to see her booth at the Smithsonian crafts fair this weekend and I’m smitten. The jewelry is made from 1900’s lace that is dipped in sterling silver or 24k gold to make earrings, and necklaces and whatnot.  My obsession though – the cuffs.  Check out her work here:
